This is the photo blog of two best friends who happen to scatter themselves around the country. Aided by weekly themes they will capture their lives in snapshots. Updates can be found on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays.

Are satsumas a seasonal thing? I was actually surprised to see them in the store last week because I didn't realize they existed outside of Louisiana. I also never realized they are considered mandarin oranges because they're just called satsumas down there.
Satsumas are the reason clementines aren't allowed to be imported into Louisiana. Clementines seem to be primarily grown in Spain and, if you look on the box, they're not allowed to be imported and sold in Florida, Louisiana, Texas, or California, the citrus producing states. Just a bit of trivia for your Tuesday night.
yeah, satsumas are completely seasonal- we put them in our stockings every year. and that, plus the arrival of eggnog lattes, signal to me that the holidays have arrived :)
eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee I love these pics!!!
